Coach results tracking questions
What does swim coach results tracking actually look like, night to night?
A live board of every swimmer's time as they finish, each with a PB verdict next to their name, and the full results exported as PDF or CSV once racing ends. No spreadsheet to update by hand afterwards; the data is already there.
How does the swimmer PB tracker decide what's a PB?
Every official swim is checked against that swimmer's own previous best time for the same stroke, distance and pool length, carried forward from meet to meet. The board shows new PB, matched PB, or slower, with the margin, the moment they touch.
Do I need to set anything up before each session?
Load this week's program, import a Swim Central HY3 file or build it by hand, and PB history carries forward on its own. There is nothing to re-enter about a swimmer who has already raced with your club before.
Can I see results for a particular swimmer across the season?
Club records can be filtered by pool length and split by age, and every finalised meet's results export as CSV, which is the easiest way to pull one swimmer's history together for a chat with them or their parents.
What if I'm coaching and can't run the timing myself?
You don't have to. A volunteer or parent can time lanes from their own phone while you coach, and the results still land on the board and in your exports exactly the same.
