Your first meet is free.
For volunteers

Easy swim timekeeping: if you can tap a button, you're in.

No login. No app to download. No training night. Scan the lane's code, wait for GO, and tap FINISH when the swimmer touches.

No barrier to entry

The simplest job on pool deck

Your phone becomes a synchronised stopwatch the moment you scan the code. One button to start, one to finish. Nothing to set up and nothing to remember.

  • Works on any phone
  • No account, no install
  • Two phones per lane share the load
Lane 3 · timer
Elapsed
0:08.4

One big button. That is the whole job.

Four taps, start to finish.

01

Scan the code

Point your phone camera at the QR code on the coach's screen. It opens in your browser, then you pick your lane.

02

Wait for GO

The starter's tap starts your timer on the same instant as every other lane.

03

Tap FINISH

Tap as the swimmer touches. A second phone on your lane keeps it honest.

04

That's it

Your time is sent automatically. Nothing to write down, nothing to hand in.

Why it's easy

Nothing to remember, nothing to carry.

No clipboard, no stopwatch to keep calibrated, no card to hand to a runner between heats. No contracts, no per-swimmer fees, no sales call needed. Just a phone most volunteers already have in their pocket.

Questions

Swim meet volunteer questions

Is this a real swim meet volunteer app we have to download?

No. It opens straight in the phone's own browser after scanning a QR code or opening a link. There is nothing to install from an app store, and nothing to sign in to.

What makes this easy swim timekeeping compared to a stopwatch?

A stopwatch has to be started by hand, lane by lane, and read off by eye. Here, every timer's phone starts together on the same signal, and tapping FINISH does the reading and recording for you. There's less to get wrong and nothing to write down.

What if I tap FINISH a bit late or early?

Two timers are rostered on most lanes, so a slightly early or late tap on one phone is caught and auto-averaged against the other, as long as they're within 0.30 seconds of each other. A bigger gap just gets flagged for the recorder to check, not thrown out.

Do I need to know anything about swimming to help?

No. The whole job is watching one lane and tapping one button when your swimmer touches the wall. The coach or recorder handles the program, the places and anything technical.

What if my phone drops out or I lose signal mid-race?

Your tap is timed and saved on your own phone the instant you press it, then sent as soon as a connection is available, retrying on its own even after a reload. A banner lets everyone know if a connection looks shaky.

Can I volunteer for just one race, or do I need to commit to the whole night?

Just one race is fine. Scan the code, time your lane, and you're done; there's no sign-up or account that ties you to the rest of the night.
